from adrienne:

With the recent passing of my uncle, a father to me, I have been in such an emotional state that I cannot passively consume media. I don’t have a mask or protection against the emotions or the impact of seeing black lives cut short daily has. During this pandemic, I’ve been just sitting with that feeling. I let it give me energy to move and speak up. It’s awful that I’ve had the thought, “I’m glad I only have to be sad about my uncle passing, and not angry as well.” That heartbreak is more comfortable than heartburn. That’s just some of things on my mind.
